Following the publication of “Mental Health, Social Inclusion and Arts developing the evidence base” the National Social Inclusion Programme (NSIP) is keen to maintain contact with those working in this area, by setting up virtual (email) links.
The links/network will be managed by NSIP, through our website. We plan to start small and hope to support the development of improved networks over time in response to your views and ideas.
We are particularly interested in using the website and links to promote our key objectives in relation to the arts and mental health. These are to:
- Promote the role the arts can play in addressing the social exclusion of people with mental health problems
- Support community projects to audit and evaluate their work with mental health service users
- Connect community arts projects with local authorities, mental health trusts and mental health commissioners
- Link community arts projects and others to local, regional and national museums, galleries and theatres
- Connect indiviuals and projects with existing local and regional networks
- Highlight good practice
- Continue to build the evidence base supporting the arts, mental health and socal inclusion
Please complete the following details if you would like to be a part of the links/network.
