Employment
The Employment, Learning and Information Exchange Project is an Inclusion Institute and Department for Work and Pensions joint venture aimed at facilitating more effective information exchange and mutual learning in the UK mental health and employment sector at a local community level. The project was initiated to build on stakeholder conversations that have highlighted a common need for more accessible and manageable sector information, which will, in turn, help facilitate the exploitation of good practice among service provider and user groups.
The preliminary objectives of the project are to: demonstrate learning gains and outcomes that are achieved directly as a result of more inclusive and proactive community-based approaches to mental health and employment; provide an online platform for sharing the project learning within the mental health and employment sector community; and provide a starting and coordinating point for accessing funding with which to support inclusion outcomes through employment.
